He started Hardrock in Blacktown in 2009 after eight years on bigger crews across Western Sydney. The pour was rarely the problem. The problem was thin base prep, vague quotes, and drainage falls sorted out on the day. The fixes came back as cracks six months later, long after the cheque cleared.
So Hardrock was built around the parts most crews skip. Proper sub-base. Drainage planned before anyone mixes a load. A finish chosen to suit the house, not whatever's quickest. Rachel in Baulkham Hills wanted coloured concrete to sit alongside her brickwork, so Dan helped her settle the colour before pour day. No cracks two summers on.
